I got this book for ten pesos and that was the most sulit ten pesos I’ve ever spent. John Blumenthal’s What’s Wrong With Dorfman? is about a hypochondriac screenwriter who spends all his time and money on diagnostic tests and doctors because he’s convinced that something’s wrong with him and that he’s dying. He’s also a German Jew, this is my favorite line from the book,
I am doing my part for Judaism by marrying Ursula. I am neutralizing a German. If every Jew in Germany had married a German, Hitler would have been out of business.
I got most of my reading done here over the weekend because staycations are awesome and Makati is oh so lovely when no one’s around. The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is also about twenty big steps away from the Salcedo Weekend Market.
