Hai, it’s my birthday and I accept gifts. Speaking of gifts, here are some of the awesome things that were given to me / I bought for myself this month.

Best Birthday Gift Ever

Last Christmas, I asked Santa for a beagle with big, sad eyes. Well Santa sucks, kids. Santa doesn’t exist. Santa’s a marketing ploy for Coca-Cola. Lucky me, someone more awesome than Santa gave me this cute little thing as an early birthday present.

Herro world, meet Pepper the beagle! I didn’t get him for Christmas because he was born on January 1 of this year. Cheers to an awesome 2012 with Pepper!

My Seventh Birthday

My dad recently got a few of our home movies converted to digital format. The video of my seventh birthday party is of course my favorite. I got a kick out of watching my seven year old hyper self. I’ll be turning 22 next month and I rarely post photos of myself here so indulge my vanity.

The video started with a flashback, and they really had to put the word flashback.

I’ve said in my very first Mema Mondays post that I was fond of photoshop-ing random things for friends back in college. This was something I made for Meyds’ (a.k.a. Joy) birthday, we love her to bits and she has been a favorite photoshop-ee of mine. (I’m the photoshop-er, she’s the photoshop-ee, gets?) Look, she’s also here.

We printed these out as bookmarks to be given away to those who attended her pizza-party-under-our-favorite-tree-in-our-college’s-parking-lot last year and look, I’m still using mine!

Wish I could do something like this again real soon, whose birthday is coming up?

Mini-Weekend in Food

Not as food porn intensive as this and this, hence the mini in the title.

First stop: Pino in Malingap Street, Teacher’s Village. I first ate at Pino with a few friends for my birthday almost four years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since.

I can’t get enough of their Kare-Kareng Bagnet (w/ Bagoong Rice onleh).

How’s everyone’s long weekend so far? This Mema Mondays post is dedicated to the two awesome girls whose awesome birthdays fall during the awesome long weekend.

Happy Happy Happy, Anne!

That’s Anne pretending to not notice the lighted birthday cake beside her in the first photo and Anne finally acknowledging the presence of her birthday cake in the next one.

Anne’s awesome, and it was her birthday yesterday, and yes she was wearing red, and yes we described her cake as the “parang debut lang” cake. And tonight Anne will be having her birthday dinner at Makati Sports Club and yes I’m invited. Did I mention that Anne was awesome?

Photo was taken at Amana Waterpark yesterday, May 1, 2011 a.k.a. Labor Day a.k.a. Luiza’s birthday a.k.a. we’re redundant that way my mom underwent labor on Labor Day. Happy Birthday Luiza!
