This November, Say Hey Ayla would turn a year old. According to my very first post, I started this blog primarily because of inggit, and to quote me (char),

I’ve bookmarked around 25 blogs under an ‘Other Lives’ folder on my browser and sometimes when they write about the awesome things they did with their friends or the awesome projects they’re working on at the moment, I can’t help but feel that my life is less awesome.

BUT MY LIFE IS PRETTY AWESOME. I do awesome things with my friends and I work on some awesome projects too so why not blog about it to eliminate the inggit?

Not too young to remember EDSA 1

THE 1986 People Power Revolution, also known as EDSA 1, is memorable to Filipinos who have experienced living under the Marcos dictatorship. But what does this historic event mean to young people who belong to the post-EDSA 1 generation?

EDSA is short for Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, a highway that stretches from Quezon City to Manila. It was where the first ever peaceful people’s revolt that toppled the two-decade regime of the late president Ferdinand Marcos took place from Feb. 22 to 25, 1986.

People in their teens and early 20s, most of who were not yet born that time, look back with mixed emotions and hold different views on what EDSA 1 means to them. Here are some of them.

I love WordPress Stats. I love how it lets me know what people are googling to get to this blog. And I love that someone googled love to get to this blog. Blame it on my birthday month.

Really, Google, really?

I am amazed with the keywords people Google to get to this nagpapaka-awesome blog. I mean I know that the Google hits for “Panginoong Maylupa” and “Struggling Photographer” may be prank hits from my barkada but come on who googles “do people get darker in ateneo” I mean where did they even get that?

I can only judge with all my might the person who googled this.

Really, Google, really?

Now let us all admit that we all Google ourselves from time to time.
