What we ate in Kuala Lumpur

Hello, I miss you all, I’ve been busy pretending to be busy the past few weeks. I’ve been hooked on reading A Game of Thrones, I’m a big fan of the TV series and I’m glad I was convinced to read the books as well. I’m also itching to go somewhere again, travelling is an awesome way to learn more about the world. The last place I went to was Malaysia (Truly Asia) and this is my obligatory food porn post because I’m a fat kid like that.

First stop: Breakfasts in Traders Hotel. I felt like I was on the set of The Kitchen Musical, everyone was so…Asian. ASIANS RPRZNT!

Their kaya is so good I put it on everything.

Spent a bitin weekend in Kuala Lumpur for the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 featuring Justin Bieber. And while I should be gushing like a thirteen year old about The Bieb, I was gushing instead about the wonderful roads of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Truly Asia).

(A) Kuala Lumpur International Airport (B) Traders Hotel (C) Sunway Lagoon

It took us 45 minutes to get from the airport to our hotel covering a distance of 76 KM. Our average speed? 100 KPH. And we’re still at the slow lane at that while sports cars were zooming past us.

The roads of Kuala Lumpur are the most beautiful I’ve seen. For a country that’s so close to ours – geographically, linguistically, and ethnographically – the condition of our roads are so far out. I did not encounter a single pothole in Kuala Lumpur I started wondering if we were really on the road or floating above it. It made me want to relocate to Malaysia and learn right-hand driving.
